About

Producer by instinct. Builder by nature.

I’m Sébastien. Music producer, music executive and technology fanatic. I’m happiest making a record, finding a better way to work or helping the right people turn an idea into something real.

Born in the Netherlands, half French and now based in Los Angeles. I make music in my own studio in the heart of Mar Vista and work with people across Europe and the US. That bridge is part of my life, as much as my work.

I co-founded Big Instrumental with Massimo Baudo and have worked as label director and senior A&R at Revealed Recordings since March 2013. My work connects talent discovery, artist management, creative direction and the day-to-day decisions behind a release.

From March 2013 to January 2019, I was A&R / digital director at Sorted Management, working with Hardwell, Kungs, Mike Williams and Zonderling. I also co-founded NXTLI, where I led social media, content, eCommerce and marketing automation from January 2018 to November 2023. Clients included Georginio Wijnaldum, Amsterdam Music Festival, Scantraxx and Revealed.

I’ve worked as a producer, composer, DJ and curator since 2001. Through my own productions and LESIXTYNINE MUSIQUE, I stay close to the craft and the decisions artists face. I want to build music, catalogues and relationships that keep meaning something years from now.

What I believe

Talent. Taste. Drive.

A successful career needs all three. Talent gives you something to work with. Taste helps you choose. Drive gets it done.

01

Instinct first. Data second.

Trust your gut first. Then confuse yourself with data. I’m analytical, but the numbers should challenge an instinct and sharpen a decision, not keep us from making one.

02

Technology excites me. People create impact.

I embrace AI and tools that help us work faster, think further and spend more time creating. Human taste, intention and connection will always create the impact. Intention over vanity metrics.

03

Less talk. More action.

Fast turnaround. Clear priorities. Quick WhatsApp decisions over email debates. Productivity over endless meetings and beautifully designed decks. The result matters more than how impressive the process looks.

04

No shortcuts. A smarter path.

The work still needs doing. Smart tools and effective choices can shorten the path. I care about what the work achieves, not how many hours it takes.

05

Trust the process. No zero days.

Small, consistent actions compound in music, work and relationships. Keep showing up, keep making something better and give that progress time to build.

06

Think in years. Act today.

Trends matter, but they are easy to chase. Building a lasting catalogue is harder. It takes patience, a view years ahead and the judgment to pivot while staying true to yourself.

07

If you can’t share, you can’t multiply.

I value authentic relationships over soulless marketing budgets. Share ideas, knowledge, opportunities and credit. The best work creates progress for more than one person.
